Quick Suggestion: Iced Coffee that is NOT Watered Down, by the Ice!

A few years back I was in a fancy restaurant and I ordered an iced coffee!  It was delicious and I noticed that it was like drinking coffee, straight coffee.  It was cold, but not watered down!  I then looked more closely and the ice cubes were dark in color!  They, too were made from coffee!  Now, when I want a cup of iced coffee at home, I use cubes that I make from coffee that I don’t drink which is left over from the pot in the morning!  I save some money by not throwing out the left over coffee and my iced coffee is all coffee!  Yum!

A true win, win!  Enjoy and be well!

Tip: When I started doing this the coffee stained the plastic ice cube trays.  So when I need new trays I buy them at the Dollar Store for 2 trays for a dollar!

Note: This can also be done with lemonade, tea and fruit drinks as well!

Amazon has tons of ice trays! Check these out!

Amazon also has counter top and other ice makers! Look at this serious equipment!

Please help us by shopping at Amazon through this link! Thank you!

Tricia Cerone Snazzy tip! I drink ice coffee every morning. I make it double strength and then ice it. Same effect.

This also works well with lemonade and iced tea.

The July 2011 “Texas Monthly” has an ad from a coffee distributor, whereby the author suggests 1/2 lb of coarsely ground coffee to 1.4 quarts of room temperature water. Let it steep for 6-12 hours, then filter the liquid.

You can then use the liquid 1:1 with water for iced coffee.

I love the coffee ice cube idea!
