Here it is. Valentine’s Day. And you have nothing to give.
Take a deep sigh.
Look in the cupboard for these items or run to the store for:
3 cups Sugar
1 ½ sticks butter,
5 oz. can (2/3 cup) evaporated milk
13 oz. jar marshmallow crème
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts (if desired)
These items will make 3 pounds of delicious fudge in 5 minutes. For a sweeter surprise, use a heart-shaped pan if you have one, or when the fudge is cool, use heart-shaped cookie cutters for the perfect presentation to your loved one.
The how-to’s of the fudge recipe are on the back of the Kraft Marshmallow Crème or go to http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/fantasy-fudge-51833.aspx

How about the good old-fashioned Sunday in bed treat? Run out for the Sunday papers and some magazines you’ll both enjoy. Pick up bagels or donuts and coffee. And maybe one single rose if it’s available. If not, don’t waste your time. It’s about spending the day TOGETHER. If you want, pick up some cold sandwiches you can have later on. Stay in your PJs all day and luxuriate by doing nothing but sharing tidbits of stories you’re reading while you drink coffee inn bed. Take a nap together. Do whatever dishes Monday morning. Now this is a day.
Whatever you do, do it in love.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
